A bit more...
I have been an area resident for more than 40 years and have grown to love the people of northeastern CT. It is my personal mission to make therapeutic massage available to those seeking that overall feeling of health and wellness. I believe that knowledge is power and would be glad to share information about self-care practices with you in addition to providing you with an unmatched massage therapy experience.
A December 2012 graduate of CT Center for Massage Therapy, I gained National Certification in February 2013, and CT licensure in March 2013. I have never felt such passion for my work & look forward to providing bodywork to each client. I absolutely felt a calling to become a practitioner of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork!
Massage is not a luxury reserved for any specific "type" of person, but is beneficial to all people. Many companies offer reimbursement and HSA/FSA may be used to pay for massage therapy.
The school I attended prepared me well; Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, Pathology, as well as all body systems were covered in great depth. There were also classes in business practices, ethics, and self improvement from both a personal and professional aspect. I was fortunate enough to study under some of finest in the field! These people brought unique opportunities to their students; I feel blessed for the experience.
Hands-on experience did not begin after licensure, it was an on-going part of the curriculum at CT Center for Massage Therapy.
I have been contracted for corporate wellness programs and have had the great pleasure to bring bodywork into group home settings. Donating gift cards and time to local charity or fundraising events has given me the opportunity to connect with those working to create positive change in our community.
Continuing education is not only a licensing requirement, but a personal priority. I seek diversity in training; I feel it is my obligation to provide clients with the best care possible.
In May 2013, I began my journey as a student/practitioner of Thai Massage. This modality is amazing and may be modified to accommodate physical restrictions-the results this bodywork produces are fantastic. Remember consultation is always free and I will certainly provide a sample of different modalities before you commit to booking a session! I am already looking forward to meeting with you, until then, be well!
